Hi,In SharePoint Online, i'm creating an item on list from a workflow running on another list. On the first list i have a workflow which is configured to trigger on item creation. But that workflow is not getting created when the item is created by another workflow. Also the item created by the workflow is having Created and Modified by as SharePoint App. Are there any setting to make sure the workflow is triggred and created and modified by is the user who triggered the workflow?
I have build a new form connected to a sharepoint list using the responsive designer. The list itself should not be viewed by people submitting the form. I have changed the submit button to link to a sharepoint page saying thank you for your submission. However, the "Close" button in the banner still links to the Sharepoint list. How do either remove the option to close the form or redirect it when pressed?Â
I have a Responsive Form using Nintex for O365, and I am running into an issue where the form is automatically saving if the user clicks Enter (versus Tab) even when they are not yet finished with the form. I am looking to restrict or disable "Enter Key" as a Save/Submit function on my form. I found an older post with a solution using SharePoint On Prem, but dont see one for Responsive Forms on O365. https://community.nintex.com/t5/Nintex-for-SharePoint/How-can-I-stop-a-Form-from-Saving-when-the-Enter-key-is-hit/td-p/9633   Does anyone know of a solution to disable the use of the Enter Key as Save & Submit on a Responsive Form?
Hi, I am trying to replace the apostrophe in a user's email address on a Nintex form using a Form Variable. This is not working and I think it's because of how Nintex is setting up the replace. I've looked at the source and I think the apostrophe in the email address is effectively closing the one used to enclose the email address. Has anyone got any advice on how I can replace the apostrophe in an email address and display/use it on a form? I need to take the replaced version of the email address to do some further lookups to a sharepoint list and bring back various values, such as job title, etc. and show them on the form. Any help would be gratefully appriciated. NWF.RuntimeFunctions.replace.call(NWF$(sourceContext)[0], NWF.FormFiller.Functions.GetTypedValue('Test.Mc'User@XXX.com','Text'), "'", "*") Thanks,Dannielle
Hello, Is it possible to read the query string value in Office 365 new responsive form? We would like to preselect the dropdown value in the form based on query string.  Thanks.
Hi Nintex Community,  Are there any obvious limitations I should be aware of when using the Nintex Mobile App compared to the full site? We are looking to deply an expences solution using Nintex Workflow Cloud with Office365 and would like to also create the Mobile App.  Thanks  Tita
Hi,This is a query related to New Responsive Designer in SharePoint. We have both 'Save and Continue' and 'Submit' buttons enabled in the form. We also have workflows in SP designer to run when an entry is submitted or modified. We want to trigger the workflows only when a user clicks Submit button and not on Save & Continue. The challenge we face is in both cases the workflow is getting triggered as both button saves the entry. Any workaround/trick to overcome this issue?Regards,Aravind
We have a need to have a user fill out a Nintex form, submit it, then have a workflow convert the form to a PDF and send it via email. Does this functionality exist? How would I do this?
I apologize if this question has been posed before. I was unable to find any related posts through a search. Is it possible to change the order of the initiation variables on a start form generated by a Nintex O365 workflow? Newly added variables always go to the bottom of the form and that's not always the best flow for the users.
Hi Guys, Can someone tell me how to include the "New Responsive Form" button option in "Choose Designer"? My options still the two buttons: (old) Responsive Form and Classic Form. I thought that this is automatically available to Nintex O365 users. I attached herewith a screen dump of my "Choose Designer" prompt. Cheers, Henry
Hello all,I'm stuck!  Basic workflow goes like this... item is entered and is sent directly to five different tasks (long story behind that and why it isn't just one task). All five of the recipients need to 'approve' the task before it is passed on to an even larger group of task recipients. That second set of tasks is also to five different tasks, but unlike the first batch, that set of tasks has multiple people involved in each of the five tasks. Like the first, each and every individual in each of the five secondary tasks needs to approve for the process to be accepted. If at any time one person 'rejects', then the entire process rejects and is closed down. So here's the problem... there is a new ask in the process: the ability to cancel at any time during the full scope of the workflow process. What the team is looking for is for the initiator (or someone within the process) to go to the form and select "Cancel this request". How do I build this in an automated workflow? Does 'ter
I was trying to find web request control in Nintex Form Online. However there is no control or action available. The requirement is to call web service in the Nintex Online Form and based on return XML output fill the dropdown list control of the Nintex Form. In the forum suggested solution is to use Custom JS section of Form settings. If anyone had already implemented this functionality please provide your guidance.
I need to send notifications to each of these email addresses. Can anyone show me how to do this in the workflow?
I have the following project requirement: someone is filling in Form A (on List A) if certain conditions are met in Form A, they are asked to complete Form B (on List B) - i.e. a link to Form B is shown in Form A an approval workflow runs on the item on List A when Form A is submitted the customer would like to view all the approval details for the submitted item in List A, including a link to Form B if Form B was required Is there a way I can relate the line item created in List B when Form B is submitted to the appropriate line item in List A - e.g. in List A there could be a column with a URL to the associated List B line item?
Hello Everyone, I'm currently struggling to add attachments to a From using Nintex Workflow.Scenario:There is a Nintex form with 'Attachments' field in it.The user is given various options as in what attachment does he wants to add (using tick boxes).(The corresponding attachments are stored in a different SharePoint list)Based on his choice, the attachments should be added to the from.It can be achieved using the 'Call Web Service' action, and further choosing Web Method as AddAttachment in 'On-Prem' but I'm struggling to achieve in 365.Need help please. Thanks
We have a use case where we are using a list to orchestrate Meeting Minutes, in which, there is a repeating section for "Action Items." In this repeating section, there is "Item," "Responsible User(s)," and "Due Date." We want to generate an email to each "responsible user(s)" letting them know they're assigned an action item. I'm able to get the XML and parse it and everything works great as long as there aren't multiple users in the People Picker field. In the case of there being more than one responsible user for an item, we're fine with just sending one email to both (all) of them, I just can't "extract" that in a usable way.Â
First let me start with I have reviewed this post https://community.nintex.com/t5/Nintex-for-Office-365/whats-the-optional-one-for-quot-Request-data-quot-and-quot/m-p/15710#M2071 on how you can create a new content type associated to the Workflow Task list. My problem with that is there is no way of storing input from that work-around into a variable in the current workflow. I what to be able to assign a user a task action a get them to input information that directs the path of the workflow by storing that user's input in variables. Am I missing something or am I making this far to complicated? I'm in the process of moving from on-prem to o365... Thanks for any suggestions.
Hello All, I'm trying to create a simple lookup =  lookup("DivisionHeads","Title", SelectedDepartment,"PlainText")  but I never get the lookup item "PlainText". Therefore I wanted to see what the "Title" and SelectedDepartment (named property) were so that I could make sure they matched. Turns out the named property SelectedDepartment (which is a drop down list connected to the title of the list "DivisionHeads" shows up with the prefix 1;# ,  2;# , 3;# etc.  Thus my lookup will never work because Title will never equal the named property SelectedDepartment. What gives! why are the selections prefixed?  Â
I have a rule on my O365 nintex form, the purpose of the rule is to disable few controls when the email address of the person field that I have on the form is different from Current user email address. The rule works fine when there is name in the person field but it generate error when it is empty. This is the formula that I have on the rule isnullorEmpty(Entity Controller(Email))||Entity Controller (Email)!=Current User (Email) . Entity Controller is the name of the field. And attached is the error that gets thrown by the form. Could you advise me how to fix this? Thank you    Â
What is the best practice to use Query XML in the O365 Nintex Workflow? In SP2013 Nintex Workflow, I could use a single Query XML action with multiple outputs. However, in the O365 Nintex Workflow you can only specify a single XPath Query and get the result into a single collection variable. In absence of multiple outputs to the same XML, I have to recreate that single XML Query action multiple times for each node set. Is this causing my WF to run slow? Any other way to do this in O365? Thank you.
Hi,I'm trying to open a Nintex Form using an external Guest account. The Guest account has proper access rights to the SharePoint site and he can access it.But as soon as he tries to open my Nintex Form it fails saying "500 internal server error".Is there any limitation in place, avoiding Guest accounts accessing Nintex Forms in general or am I doing something wrong? Many thanksÂ
In my approval workflows, once an approval task is complete, I grab the name of the person who completed the task in order to populate a Task Approved By field.I do this by giving each task a unique name held in a variable - e.g. Marketing - ID{Current Item:ID} - and then on Approve or Reject I populate the Task Approved By field by saying "give me the name of the user who modified the task which has the same name as the unique variable name (see attachment). This technique works on all my approval workflows, but today I added another task to a State Machine, and although everything else works correctly, no matter what I do the approver is always returning as "Sharepoint App". If I look at the task list, the Modified By name is the name of the approver, and if I look at the Version History, I see the correct name of the approver. What could possibly be happening that would cause the workflow to not pick up the name of the approver and instead pick up "Sharepoint App"?I've rebuilt the Up
Hello, We had a scenario where we sent 100 separate E-Sign requests to various stakeholders. We only wanted 51 to sign.In the Nintex for Office 365 workflow action, we configured as below, which is sending alerts every day to those who haven't signed. We already got the required 51 signatures and don't want any more alerts to be sent every day.How to stop further alerts from being sent?I tried suspending/terminating the workflow, but the alerts are still going on. Any ideas/pointers, please? Thanks in advance.
I set up the following folder with sub-folders:Test             FolderA                            FolderB (sub-folder of FolderA)                                          FolderC(sub-folder of FolderB)When I use the following under Output Location in the Document Generator Folder path/FolderA/FolderBit will write a file to FolderB successfully, however when I use the following:/FolderA/FolderB/FolderCI get the message, “Specified path ‘/FolderA/FolderB/FolderC’ does not exist.Has anyone seen this before? Thanks
I have a request form that is filled out when a user wants to add Nintex Form App or Nintex Workflow App to their site. Once I receive the request, I use the "Add an App" feature for both. For Workflow I also add to Site Collection Admins and Activate "Workflow can use app permissions". I am trying to figure out if I can automate these tasks. Can I use Nintex workflow to:Add an App" to another site? Add to site Collection Admins to another site? Activate workflow permissions to another site?
