Hello, I have a list that has an approver column. Each approver needs to have the permission to only be able to Read and edit list item that has their name on it ( not looking for just to format a view, they shouldn’t have permission to see the other items). On that same list currently I am using item level permission to control the permission for users that create the item. I also have another permission group with custom design permission level that can read and edit all list items. I am having difficulty finding a way to set the permission for the approver group or the approvers. Does anyone know how I can achieve this? Thank you for your help. Note: This is built on Nintex office365 forms and workflow.
Hi all, May I know how to approve the eForm in New Responsive Form??Can add dynamic value on "Connect to value" during submit the form? Any solution / work around?
I find the workflow really hard to work with once they get fairly large. You either have to have a great memory or you have to select Configure on each action and branch to see what the details are. I do not understand how this tool can exist this long without the ability to add a description to each action/branch.It triples the time it takes to complete a large workflow as I cannot remember "where did I set that variable?" "what is this branch about?". Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks
Hello all,I started working with Nintex forms this week and everything seems to be working fine until yesterday. Since yesterday I'm receiving an error message - attached - saying that I can't publish my form without any details on why it's happening. I've tried in Chrome and IE, tries in a different computer and even with a different colleague trying to publish it and always got the same message.Any ideas?
Hello everyone. I've come to the community for suggestions on this topic as it seems we cannot find a solid answer/solution. We have setup development, UAT, and production site collections for workflows. We have built our solution an a specific manor which includes using custom content types for form lists and task lists. What is the most reliable way to migrate and move lists, forms, and workflows from one site collection to another? We currently have a ShareGate license and seem to always experience issues after a migration such as task forms not opening in the Nintex Forms handler but instead in the SharePoint list interface. We're investigating these issues with ShareGate but I wanted to know if anyone here has suggestions or luck with any other tools/methods? From our understanding we have the following things that would need to be migrated: The workflow list itself (structure) The associated task list (because it may contain custom content types used for custom outcomes) Nintex F
I have a workflow on a library that runs all actions inside an Action Set with elevated app permissions. The workflow contains a number of workflow actions to modify the item permissions to limit access to a number of SharePoint groups. When a non-owner of the site, runs the workflow, the workflow eventually suspends with the following error after some of the permissions get set by those workflow actions: "Item does not exist. It may have been deleted by another user." If the workflow is terminated and restarted by an owner, it completes successfully. Given that the workflow actions that are modifying the item's permissions are running inside the action set, why is the "Item does not exist" error occuring? The item is clearly there, and the elevated app permissions should have full access to it.
I know we can use CSS on Classic Forms. But not having this is a problem for the responsive forms.
Hi smart people, I have a connection that needs to be updated where I am the owner. Except, when I try to edit the connection, the update credentials button is missing (shown below) Is there another way to update this connection or to change the owner?
Hi Nintex Community! Sorry if this has been posted before, I was unable to find a similar post in the forums. To make a long story short, I have a form for a requestor to enter information into a Nintex form, where it will then be routed to an approver. Once the approver approves of the information, it will then be simultaneously routed to 3 different groups for each group to enter their own unique required information. Once the 3 groups have entered their portion of the form, the updated form will then be routed to a last group for them to make any final changes. This will all be stored in a SharePoint list. My question is: do I create one form where I can have all of the 3 groups' fields onto that one form? Or do I need to create 4 different forms? Should a task form be used in this example? Any help would be greatly appreciated!
I am currently working on building an approval workflow. There are several Assign Task actions in a row. For testing purposes, I have set them all to send to myself. They all are configured pretty much the same. The problem is that the first action assigns the task and sends the email as expected. The second assign task looks like it assigns the task, but it doesn't send the email. Email doesn't appear to be blocking it and I am not sure what else it could be.
On Nintex form, I have an Exam Name field which is tied a view in a look up list: All active Exam Names. At the end of each year, some Exam Names will be retired to inactive. So when user goes back to old Nintex form items, Exam Name field is blank for some items since the Exam Name is inactive. User still wants to see those saved Exam names. Is it possible to use custom JavaScript to achieve it? When the item is a new, display all active Exam Name only; When the item is already saved, check if it has inactive Exam Name. If yes, load the inactive Exam Name and the all active exam names in Exam Name field.
Hello - I've been using Nintex for O365 for a few months. I have an interesting scenario but I am not sure if its possible. Scenario: I want to create a from with 2 distinct groups with various fields (i.e. line of text, dropdowns etc...) We want to give access to both internal and external users to the form. But we want to hide or limit external users from seeing what is in the grouping for internal users, and vice versa. Ideally I'm trying to find some sort of solution where users can view aspects of 1 form but limit what they can see based on if they are internal or external users. I did some research and saw that we can use "isMemberofGroup" based on groups that can be created for a SharePoint list. But I have no idea how to use it... I have an internal group and external group created in SharePoint. I've worked with the creating some basic rules for the fields within the form but nothing like this before. Would appreciate any help or suggestions you might have. Thank you 🙂
I have created a variable that does a calculation and shows a value. The variable is a Decimal and shows 10 decimal places. Can I shorten that to two?
Hi, I have a task list that I have a workflow running on. The workflow does a number of things, but it is dependent on the due date being populated. I am trying to figure out a way to either conditionally start, or run an if statement in the workflow, if the date is not blank. Of course, there is no option for is blank and I am having an issue figuring out a way around it. After some searching on the forums, I found some similar situations, but they were for on-prem and I couldn't get it to work on O365. Hoping someone can help.
Hi, I am new to Nintex. Currently, I am facing aproblem with my project. I want to display the data (which include choice single, date and text - short) in the repeating section(listing form) into repeating section (task form). I have studied to few others post, which their solution is following: 1. connect repeating section(task form) to the multi-line text colmn that used to store the xml of repeating section(listing form)2. put in all the controls and name all of those controls same with the control from listing form repeating section's controls. I have tried this solution. Unfortunelly, my problem still does not solve. I wonder is this because they were using classic form and I am using new responsive form. and is there any way can help me out of this problem?
I want to load a people picker field with JavaScript in Nintex Online Form in O365. I just have the login name of a user (looks like i:0#.f|membership|user@whatever.com) How can I do this? I've looked at the NF.PeoplePickerAPI stuff online, but if I try to use that in O365, i get an error that says "Uncaught TypeError: NF.PeoplePickerApi is not a constructor". It appears that this might be only for on-premise Nintex.
Hi everyone I would like to know how I can improve the formatting in an e-mail generated by Nintex Workflow. Here is what my e-mail looks like:_____________________________________________________________________________________DEPARTMENT: {Current Item:Department}DATE NEEDED: {Current Item:DateNeeded}1. {Current Item:Description1} {Current Item:Quantity1} {Current Item:BudgetNumber1}2. {Current Item:Description2} {Current Item:Quantity2} {Current Item:BudgetNumber2}3. {Current Item:Description3} {Current Item:Quantity3} {Current Item:BudgetNumber3}4. {Current Item:Description4} {Current Item:Quantity4} {Current Item:BudgetNumber4}5. {Current Item:Description5} {Current Item:Quantity5} {Current Item:BudgetNumber5}_____________________________________________________________________________________ As you can see, it has five lines of three columns each. Based on the length o
I tried to search for this topic, and found similar topics, but I did not find what I needed. My user would like to be able to load multiple images at one time and add metadata to multiple images uploaded together. There are 10 required fields that should be provided before any of the images are uploaded. Does anyone have an idea of how I can do this?I'm assuming that a Document library would be best, but if you have other ideas, please let me know.
I just want to sum the total Accrual Amount for each repeating section at the bottom of the form. It should be so simple, right? I'm using Nintex Forms for Office 365 in the classic mode. After I get the sum total of all the rows, I need to set a rule that says the total sum of Accrual Amount must be greater than 25,000.
I found this link and have followed it on a form that have created using Nintex: Nintex Forms: Automatically populating the new people picker control - Wow, So SharePoint, Much information But for some reason it's not populating the field at all. Any idea why this isn't working? I got this working before implementing Nintex (but not sure how I can incorporate this into Nintex Form, by using the following code: <script src="//ajax.googleapis.com/ajax/libs/jquery/1.10.2/jquery.min.js"></script><script src="/siteassets/scripts/sputility.min.js"></script><script>// wait for the window to load$(window).load(function () { var userid = _spPageContextInfo.userId; function GetUserLogin() {var requestUri = _spPageContextInfo.webAbsoluteUrl + "/_api/SP.UserProfiles.PeopleManager/GetMyProperties/";var requestHeaders = { "accept" : "application/json;odata=verbose" }; $.ajax({ url : requestUri, contentType : "application/json;odata=verbose", headers : requestH
I need to implement the "Assign a Task" action and address it to clients external to my organization/tenant so they can complete the requisition form embedded within. Is this possible to do without granting these external users access to my SharePoint site? And most importantly, how?
Hi, I have a form with a repeating section where there are several fields with the integer data type. I want to use thousand separators in those fields, but have not figured out how. Is it possible? Thanks!Lisa
Hi,I'm using Nintex O365 classic forms. I have a list lookup control and in it I need to use a different View from the connected list depending on the mode of the form. I typed the below formula in the Source View but it is giving me an error. Could you please let me know how to fix this?
I'm still relatively new to Nintex for 0365 and I keep running into HUGE problems while trying to rebuild on premises workflows in this new environment. The latest? A workflow is taking the data in the Projects Assigned field, writing over it and skipping a bunch of steps in the middle of the workflow that previously it was doing. Managers pull from an Excel report of outstanding projects and drop a small table into the Projects Assigned field. The workflow then:1. Splits this field into separate rows.2. And when the row contains a Project ID, it separates the row into its parts and does a bunch of other actions. (Using a Run If action inside of a For each loop)Yesterday morning, the workflow (using Reg Ex) did all of this - split the data, performed all the steps.Yesterday afternoon, it stopped doing this. It was treating the project field as though it were empty (I had it send emails to verify this), and then naturally skipped over the middle of the workflow (literally the meat of t
Is there a way to generate a PDF version of a Nintex form that can then be attached to an email in the workflow? I would like to collect an email address on my form and then via the workflow send a PDF copy of that form to the email address. On the form in view mode there is a lovely Print button which generates a PDF copy of the form but I do not see how to do that in the workflow. So far I have only seen posts about having to rebuild the form in a word template and generate a PDF.
