Is it possible to preview and edit documents just before pdf are generated and stored for sobjects using docgen?
Hi all, I have observed that the Attachment created automatically by workflow and OB message scenarion.. has the created by user as the user to send field in the OB setting. but it is totally wrong as it can be generated by any user. Does this have a workaround ?
A fairly straightforward document use case is still taking an unacceptable amount of babysitting. Please take a look and upvote my suggestion on User Voice if you agree that this would be a great addition to DocGen. While Mass DocGen from a report allows us to create a large number of documents at once, printing these efficiently involves a lot of babysitting. Say you generate 2,000 documents that need to be printed and mailed. Your documents are output into the DocGen Queue. Because Lightning list views only allow the selection of 200 items, you have to repeat this process ten times: 1. Scroll DocGen Queue list view down to expose 200 or more records. 2. Select 200 records. 3. Click Download 1 PDF button to merge them into a single PDF. 4. Wait 5-6 minutes for the Nintex server to process the document merge and ready it for download. 5. Click to download the "Merged Files.pdf" document (Don't wait too long, or it will expire and be unavailable for download! Hope you were babysitting t
Hello!I have an internal user that ran a DocGen package (to generate an invoice/receipt), and they are receiving a "0% Queued" in the status bar. The process times-out.I was told that they "ran the package and then walked away". When they returned and attempted to run the package again, the "0% queued" status appeared again.I haven't seen this before. Can anyone provide guidance, please? Thanks!
Does anyone know if it is possible to password protect a document using Nintex Drawloop in Salesforce? I do not see any options to do that.
Hi Everyone,I am at a loss here so Im hoping you all can help. I get the error below when we try and populate a PDF form that we retrieved from TD Ameritrade's website. The pdf isn't password protected but looks like its protected in some other way and may require authentication in order for us to populate it using DrawLoop. We're able to type info into the form but just not through DrawLoop. Here's what we have gathered from these custodians (TD, Schwab, etc) regarding their PDFs. Has anyone ran into this issue? Any help is appreciated, thanks ahead of time! "Yes, TD, Schwab & Fidelity will accept ‘diy’ DocuSign. There are specific signer authentication requirements for each one but they will all 3 accept our DocuSign. TDA requires KBA authentication, Schwab requires a custom json template and SMS authentication. Fidelity’s DocuSign requirements are attached for reference."
I have a template with delivery option = email. I have a button on the Contact that generates the form. After the form generates and I click to continue, it forces me to logon (even though I am already logged on). It does this for all user profiles. (and then later salesforce makes me log out of all other windows I had open, even though they were logged into using the same logon credentials). This does NOT happen if I run the form directly from Nintex test button. It only happens when i run it from the button i put on the Contact. This is what the contact button url looks like (123 is the contact id, and 456 is the id of the email delivery option): /apex/loop__looplus?&eid={!Contact.Id}&ddpIds=123&deploy=456&autorun=true (note: i have tried removing the autorun option and this does not fix the problem) Any ideas what is causing this? the problem only applies to the email delivery option (download works fine)
When I export my nintex form list to excel, the values in the people lookup fields come back as this: lastname, firstname MI;#10841.... I have been reading over things on google for the last 3 hours and cant seem to find a way to fix this. If it helps, the people lookup brings is set to show the name with presence.I have another people lookup field that only allows for single values so I know it's got something to do with the multiple values but please help!
Hi all, I have a DDP set up to run off a custom object and generate a document in Excel. We have a related custom object to track loan transactions, which we'd like to push to Excel, with each transaction in it's own row. Using the document tagger, I'm using the replicate row option (Loan_Transaction_Start) across all columns of data for the Loan Transaction. For the specific record I'm testing with, I have two related loan transactions. When generating the document in Excel, two rows are created, however only the first row is populated with data. The second row is completely blank. Does anyone have any ideas on how to fix this? Thanks,John
One of our Salesforce Drawloop users got the following error when trying to create envelopes:Error creating attachment for (Opportunity ###) (cannot_insert_update_activate entity): entity type cannot be inserted: Document (ExternalError)What permissions need to be enabled to prevent this error? I've been adjusting the Salesforce roles and permissions since we no longer want our Drawloop user login to be running with the System Administrator profile. So, I've set the user profile to our Read Only profile and added the following permission sets:Drawloop Admin Drawloop User Drawloop User - Salesforce +The "Drawloop User - Salesforce +" is a clone of Drawloop User - Salesforce with read update permissions on the Opportunity object and full permissions on the Task object.
I have been using Nintex Document generation and it has been working successfully. The only issue I have is when trying to update a document with rich text field data which contains text and images, I have been unsuccessful in doing so. It does not seem possible for some reason, not sure if anyone else has experienced this. Please can the community assist me with a solution for this issue or a possible workaround.
I have a DocGen package for a monthly business process -- creating membership renewal letters -- that we run from a report and output to DocGen Queue. Our volume is about 2,000-3,000 records each month. When we first ran this package and process in production, we quickly and unexpectedly hit our limit of 25,000 API calls within 24 hours. It turns out that running the package used roughly 12 API calls per record, and then another 3 per record when we went to merge the resulting PDFs into batched files for printing. We got Salesforce to temporarily lift our limit, but I'd like to see if there is a way to understand and potentially reduce the number of API calls in my package so that we don't end up having to a) split up our process in order to stay under the limit, or b) pay Salesforce for a higher API call limit. Any ideas?
Hi Team,When I click Run DocGen Package I am able to generate the document but when I click on the document to download it throws:{"errorId":"2d936e5a-8708-4dbe-81fc-4db359d41ad9","message":"An error has occurred. (InternalError)","status":"error"}.For some users, it's working perfect and for the same profile users, we are facing the error as well. It was working before as expected and suddenly this issue has come up. Please help. ThanksLakshmi
I have created a new template using the Wizard and added one relationship which is working fine. I have now added a second relationship but this isn't working at all. Any ideas? The nature of the first and second relationships is the same, the settings for the new relationship are the same as for the original (working) relationship. I have reviewed all the help and I seem to have the set up correct. Has anyone any experience with this?
Hoping someone can point me in the right direction........ I have used workflow and outbound message to automate doc gen against a lead record in salesforce. I have nintex sign and want to auto send/trigger (without any user pressing a 'send' button) the generated document to be sent out for signature. Please can someone advise how best to achieve this? Thanks
Hi,I'm having a specific use-case/requirementregarding pdf generation in Salesforce. This requirement is essential inour search for the right document generation partner. I hope the nintex community might help and would be able to give some information/insights on this particular requirement.Straight to the point, the requirement:• We have a text field on the Salesforce Contract object in containing JSONdata (from an integration). This JSON data has a certain structure (non-linear) and can, in some cases, have more (or less) key-value pairs in it.• When generating a pdf based on the Contract data, we would like to transformthe JSON and show it as a table inside the PDF. As already said, the JSONis “dynamic” and, as such, the table in the generated pdf should be able toshow/hide columns/rows dynamically. Is this a feature that Nintext DocGen (for Salesforce) is able to provide out of the box? Is thereany need for customisations to achieve this? If so, which ones? Thanks,Glenn
1. How can I make an automated email send attach an email record to the case that I originated it from?2. How can I use case variables or Box links to personalize the email sent as part of this automation?
Hi , I have a requirement in which I have rows of data coming from salesforce and I need to convert the column values to a single cell seperated by comma. For Example: The below data should be populated as Car1, Car2, Car3, Car4, Car5 and so no..Car1Car2Car3Car4Car5 I am using excel as middleware to achieve that and using TextJoin() function which works perfectly in excel but during document generation this formula doen't calculate and give #NAME? as the value. Can someone help me with right formula that can work in nintex? And is there any limitation on formula that can be used in excel which is used as middleware. As not all the formulaes works with nintex
Hello, I am currently running into some issues where my Drawloop Document is merging as expected, but displaying my custom Time Fields from Salesforce in full-length military format. Internally in Salesforce, the times all display as expected, but they remain on international time when merged on the document itself.I have found ways to override this on the standard today, yesterday date fields, but no documentation on updating custom fields to avoid the military format.Has anyone run into this before, or know of a solution to change the 17:00:00 references to just show 5:00? Thanks! Dan
I am using Nintex DocGen (formerly Drawloop) inside Salesforce.com to generate documents based on mailmerging info from various fields and related object's fields. I have a fairly complex set of relationships setup so I can get to all the fields I need. For this purpose I am using the Child of a Child to my Object. My question is how can I make a Row on that second level Child either show or not show based on if there is data in it? I have looked at the MS Word Conditional Text section that uses Quick Parts function (https://help.nintex.com/en-us/docgen/docservices/Default.htm#docgen-sfdc/Services/templates/ConditionalTextWord.htm%3FTocPath%3DWork%2520with%2520the%2520basics%7CSetup%2520templates%7CMicrosoft%2520Word%7C_____1) but when I type in the that same output text to Google Docs, and then runt he DocGen, nothing seems to happen. Is MS Word putting some special unseen characters that DocGen is processing? My IF statement looks like this: { IF "<<Option_Title1>>" <&
I have a summary report in Salesforce grouped by week. Is it possible to keep the weekly grouping when I push the report into a Drawloop table?
When I create a PDF or a Word doc and then restrict the editing on it the doc never gets generated. I am using a URL button to bypass the ddp selection. Any thoughts on what I might be doing wrong.
I am using the field tagger for the account owner Name, Email, and phone on a custom quote object. When I generate the quote it just pulls in me as the user and not the account owner, thoughts?
Is it possible to schedule a DocuSign envelope for future delivery with DocGen standalone?
So, I see that Nintex has the ability create a documents in Salesforce from a List View via the Mass Doc Gen Button. But I do not need each record to have its own document. I need one document with multiple lines of data pulling for each record selected in the list view, Does anyone know if this is possible or where I can find documentation on this? So for example I would navigate to the Account Object, look at a list view --> Select 5 accounts and generate a document with the list of these 5 account names. Thank you for any help in advance.
