Hi, I am trying to use Nintex Workflow 2013 to create a short URL when a list item is created.

I tried using these intructions from Vadim Tabakman which uses the now deleted to.ly service and

replaced the to.ly with Bit.ly but I cannot get it to authenticate using a Web Service action.

I can get the JSON file to be created if I paste the API URL into the address bar.

Using example: https://api-ssl.bitly.com/v3/shorten?access_token=[my access token]&longurl=https://community.nintex.com/t5/Nintex-for-SharePoint/bd-p/Nintex_for_SharePoint&format=json

Any ideas for using URL Shortener service using a Nintex Workflow 2013 on SharePoint 2013?

Thank you.

Do you have Nintex Live enabled in your Nintex Workflow environment?  If you do, then you could add and use the "Bitly URL Shortener" or "Google URL Shortener" actions from the Nintex Live Catalog.

I activated Nintex Live Forms and Nintex Live catalog at the Site Collection level but Nintex Live buttons are disabled in the ribbon. Don't have access to Central Admin, so unable to activate it.
Thanks for the suggestion.

You're correct in that you will need to confirm that the Nintex Live features are enabled in Central Administration.  Below are some links to setting that up.  I understand that you don't have the access you need, but enabling that will get you this ability plus several other useful actions.
