Symptoms

1) When executing a server event to spin a sharepoint 2010 site the following error was thrown in the:

Keyword not supported: 'designtimeintegratedsecurity'. ServiceName: MOC ServiceGuid: 90d05072-9c89-4cf4-b8f5-94255f2deeed InnerExceptionMessage:

2) (Occurred after one was resolved) When executing a server event to spin a sharepoint 2010 site the following error was thrown in the:

401: Unauthorized
 

Diagnoses

1) There was some something unusual about the Extra Data section in the SQL Service Instance:
DesignTimeIntegratedData=FalseDesignTimeUserName=

2) The account running the server event to spin the site up was not the K2 Service account that which is what we had assigned Site Collection Admin to



 

Resolution

1) We edited the SQL Server Service instance and removed the extra data.

2) In the K2 Studio design canvas we did a rightclick>>properties on the server event and that revealed that it was set to run as someother account which did not have Site Collection Admin on the site collection where we wanted out subsites created. We temporarily granted it site collection admin so we could retry the processes and then we changed it to the service account and deployed the process.
