Hi,

If you are referring to Nintex Workflows for On-Premise SharePoint, make sure the "Query XML" action is in "Allowed workflow actions" as shown below.

Go to CA --> Nintex Workflow Management --> Manage Allowed Actions --> make sure "Query XML" action is selected.
