What is the purpose and use of keep audit checkbox in data/XML fileds?

Hi all,


I think to keep the track changes of data/XML field (eg, Assigned To, Comments, Task Status), need to check the "Keep Audit" check box and K2 will store all the changes of this field in the database.


Can somebody tell me,


1) What is the exact purpose and use of keep audit checkbox in data/XML fields?


2) Where can i find data/XML field track changes value in K2 database?(which table and column)


3)  I want to generate the report to display all the changes of this Data/XML Field, How can i generate the report [or] how to fetch all the changes of this field?

    1) If you do not check it, only the latest value will be kept for the process datafield.   If you check it, it will save a copy for each activity (I believe, even when value is the same) so that it records the history of each activity.
