Symptoms

Person/group fields are not updating properly in the SharePoint V2 broker when the title of a person/group field has a space in the name. An error similar to the following may be presented when executing the UpdateDocumentMetadata method: 'Server was unable to process request. ---> Field with name " field name]" was not found.'
 

Diagnoses

This was found to be a bug in the SharePoint V2 broker for smartobjects created from a native SharePoint 2010 site.
 

Resolution

A fix can be obtained from K2 support for updating the person/group field with the UpdateDocumentMetadata method in the desired document library which contains a column with a space in the name. Please contact K2 Support to receive the fix for bug 679684 on K2 blackpearl 4.6.10.
