Unable to launch K2 Package and Deployment
 

Diagnoses

I had installed the 4.6.8 K2 Package and Deployment on my local pc and added the servers in my environment with user names and passwords in the Advanced section. I was able to create/deploy packages without a problem, but I then upgraded it to 4.6.11, discovered that it didn't work with my 4.6.8 servers, so I uninstalled it and installed 4.6.8 again. After the install, when I tried to launch the K2 Package and Deployment I get the following errors:

“MMC has detected an error in a snap-in and will unload it.”
“Unhandled Exception in Managed Code Snap-in”
“Invalid key name in connection string: CachePassword”
 

Resolution

Loading the PandD manually per following reference resolved the issue.
