Symptoms
Context: deploy workflows after restore of earlier version of K2 database
Symptom: error "ID4243: Could not create a SecurityToken"
Diagnoses
Told customer to try the following but no feedback about that:
- prefix your k2session.com/runtime.... with www and so on, so for example:
* www.k2session.com/runtime...
* smartstarters.k2session.com/runtime...
* xxx.k2session.com/runtime...
- clear browser cache, close and reopen the browser. You can also extend session token lifetime to reduce the frequency of this occurring:
1. Go to C:Program Files (x86)K2 blackpearlWebServicesIdentityStsForms if you are using Forms STS.
If you are using Windows STS, go to C:Program Files (x86)K2 blackpearlWebServicesIdentityStsWindows
2. Make a backup of the web.config file
3. Open the web.config file
4. Locate the following lines and increase if required (value is in seconds):
5. To extend the session lifetime, update the values.
6. After making the changes, save the config file, run IISReset, clear your browser cache and reload your form
Resolution
Once the session expired it was available and was working for that user.
