Symptoms

We are getting the following error in the browser when trying to deploy a workflow.

Could not load file or assembly 'Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.ServerRuntime, Version=15.0.0.0, Culture=neutral, PublicKeyToken=71e9bce111e9429c' or one of its dependencies. The system cannot find the file specified.
 

Diagnoses

The Microsoft.SharePoint.Client.ServerRunTime.dll. is a Sharepoint .dll.
Please make sure it is in the following location: GAC_MSIL is located in the root GAC directory:
WindowsAssemblyGAC_MSIL.

 

Resolution

Client added the correct assembly to the .NET GAC
