Unable to archive the K2 database using the K2 workspace
Diagnoses
Before you upgraded from 4.6.8 to 4.6.11 you archive off a portion of your data from a specific date period. This was required as some of the smartforms were become unbearably slow to open.
After upgrading to 4.6.11 you are now looking to archive off more data to the DB.
When the archive process is started there is no feedback from the workspace except for the Silverlight spinner, and the database becomes locked (the database we are archiving to). However, no data is ever archived and the spinner is still running 12 hours later. This has happened 3 times in a row.
This will be done over a certain period of time.
Resolution
You can resolve this by running the MArchive_v1.5 script that also allows you to archive.
It is best to create a brand new DB completely rather than trying to archive to the same DB if this has been done before hand.
