I am very new to Smartforms, and a citizen developer. I would like to use tree control on a form we are developing, and have tried to follow the instructions online to use the tree control:

http://help.k2.com/onlinehelp/k2smartforms/UserGuide/current/default.htm#Tree.htm

Apparently, I am doing something wrong.

Does anyone else have additional instructions or video on how to use this control properly?

Thanks!

Hi vlines,

I do not know any other documentations I can point you to, I suggest you directly explain what you want to achieve through the tree control, so you could be assisted based on your specs, you might find that your specs are a bit different from what the documentation has. or try to figure out where you don't  get it right and request assistance based on that. Other than that, that is the official documentation one should use to build a tree control.

Best regards,

Abraham.

Hi,

There is a guide you from the AppIt documentation. Even though it is for AppIt, the tree control should be the same as those on your SmartForms. Here is the link to it:

Good Day Vlines

I believe that the previous responses are correct there is only the one documented document for how to construct and use the tree control. However it is not that difficult, perhaps you can identify the sections of the document that you are stuck with when attempting to create your tree control?

Additional pointer: Based on the Tree control documentation (K2 SmartForms Tree Control), the only sections that you would need to follow and achieve in order to have a successfully created tree control would be the "Creating a SmartObject" and "Configure Data Source" sections.

I hope this help in the mean time while we await further feedback based on where exactly you are stuck with the documentation.

Kind Regard

Raymond
