The Workflow Could Not Update The Item

Hi All,

We are facing this issue in production intermittently.

In UAT it was all working fine and when testing in production also we dint face any error. When users started using the form workflow is giving the error "The Workflow Could Not Update The Item, Possibly Because One Or More Columns For The Item Require A Different Type Of Information".

 

In some blogs i read that we have to use "Commit pending changes" action before update item action. Even after using this we are still facing the issue. Please help us resolving this issue ASAP.

    Hi Hema,

     

    Seems its PROD performance issue, so try to check the workflow configuration and also try to add pause for few min's prior to "Commit pending changes" and after Update The Item action item.

    Hi Thank you for the response.

    One more confusion is where to add the commit Pending changes. few blogs says after the update item action few says before the update item action.

    So from your reposnse my understading is like below
    1.Pause
    2.Commit pending changes
    3.Update Item
    4.Pause

    In this order i have to keep the actions wherver update item action is there. am i correct?
