Testing Creation of a mailbox

Diagnoses

I need to test the creation of an Exchange Mailbox.

1. When I try to create a Create New Mailbox Exchange Event in K2 Studio it requests User Name, Storage group, and Mailbox Database. What is expected for Storage Group and Mailbox Database. I don't believe our version of Exchange users Storage Groups.
2. When I try to do it within K2 Designer I get a series of errors.

Resolution

Was Exchange Integration enabled during product installation? If so, an Exchange category will exist that will contain the Smartobject used to create that Mailbox. I believe you can also test with these Smartobject.

If it does not exist, it is likely that Exchange Integration was not enabled during the initial installation. To enable Exchange Integration, you will need to perform a Reconfigure of K2 blackpearl when applicable and enable Exchange Standard and Administrative Integration as per:

** Please know that performing a Reconfigure will restart the K2 blackpearl service and cause downtime

Regarding the event wizard itself, if you are using Exchange 2010 I do not believe the "Storage Group" is required and the "Exchange Server" and "Mailbox Database" will be automatically populated for you if Exchange Integration had been configured. You can also execute the Exchange Metadata > "Get Available MailBox Databases" method and specify the Exchange Server Name to see if it returns any Available Mailbox Databases values that you can use.

The Exchange Management > "Enable Mailbox" method is used to create the mailbox (I believe this is just an Exchange lingo based of Exchange powershell "https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa998251(v=exchg.141).aspx").
