Symptoms


Issue:
When the client edits a rule they receive a blank rule editor box.
 

Diagnoses


diagnosis:
We have as previously suggested by labs changed the setting maxRequestLength but this did not resolve the issue. It just shifted the blank edit rule box from initial load of the rule to save changed values of the rule.

The client followed the instruction and changed Maximum allowed content length and maxRequestLength. After the changes where made the client no longer experienced a blank rule editor box. The client now experiences an infinite spinner when trying to edit the rule.

This was due to the large form design. The form was +- 44MB. We also suggested the client have a look at the following links regarding form sizes and best practice

Resolution


Resolution:

The client was assisted by services in meeting and found that there is a missing stetting that needed to be changed to allow the upload of such a big form

After this was changed the client could rectify the page and save the changes.

Then client the found that users were not able to upload documents. The client was advised to remove this setting and only add the setting when changes to the form needed to be made.
