SharePoint 2016 Workflow: Set Field Value to Modified By

I have a field called "Status" that is a drop down with options "New", "Updated" and "Cleared". I also have a "Cleared By" Field. I want a workflow to set that "Cleared By" field to the Person who Modified the "Status" to "Updated" But I want it to run when the Approver changes the "Status" field to from "Updated" to "Cleared". The reason is we have an analyst who updates the item which we need to know who that is but only when the item is approved and cleared by the approver. I am new to workflows and am trying to figure out exactly what would be the best way to accomplish this?
