Symptoms

In certain scenarios you may want to be able to to delete/remove a user from the OOF list using a service broker and not the normal GUI.
 

Diagnoses

Currently there is no OOB service broker in K2 which allows to perform such operations. There is an existing feature request to add such functionality: "OOF - To be able to delete/remove one user from the OOF list using an OOTB service broker (Out of Office)" (internal ID 657230).
 

Resolution

Consider logging K2 support ticket to express your interest in getting this feature request implemented/confirm its current status. For the time being you have revert to custom code/creating your own broker for this.
