Hi all


We have recently changed the password of the service accounts.  After that, we are not able to view the process statistics, process information or user performance reports through k2workspace. Then I figureout the report server configuration's windows service identity was not get updated and it was showing RED cross mark. 


My question here is, everytime if I change the password, do I need to go and change the windows service identity in the report server configuration.?


What kind of security policy should the service account have?

You do not need to change the Identity, but like with any Windows service or App Pool, if the Account's password is changed, you will need to provide the new password in Windows Service Manager or IIS Manager. If not, the service or App Pool will fail to start and you will most likely get Logon Failure messages in the Event Viewer.
