Symptoms

We are seeing an issue where we are getting long running script error when we are loading the data for the rich text box. Looks like the issue is happening when the user inputs data in the rich text box by copying a text from the word with formatting like numbering, bullets, etc., When the data is persisted into DB, it is having a lot of tags for new line(andltbrandgtandlt/brandgt). The new line is getting added because of formatting. when this data is loaded, we are getting long running script and the form freezes.
 

Diagnoses

The issue is not so much with the copying and pasting but rather due to the fact that any input in the control that contains the line break tag andltbrandgt, when saved to the database, the value, when returned suddenly has a closing andlt/brandgt tag. If you were to add another andltbrandgt tag in between the current tags, it would do the same.

This issue only occurs in blackpearl 4.6.10. It's doesn't occur in the blackpearl 4.6.11 and up that uses a later version of Telerik.
 

Resolution

Please upgrade to a more recent version of K2 blackpearl -- at least K2 blackpearl 4.6.11, but preferably K2 blackpearl 4.7.
