I have sub issues hidden when certain Issues are selected. Is there a way to make the space disappear so the questions after it move up? This is SharePoint 2013

We call this white space.
To avoid it follow these rules.
Group controls that you want to hide into a panel.
Apply the hide rule to the panel only.
Do not overlap panels.
Apply 1 rule per panel and not 1 rule for multiple panels.
Order the rules in the same order as the panels from the top down.
