I have a sharepoint list with 600+ entries, I have now changed the form so that the choice options default to Yes rather than Select, I have published it but when I open an existing entry the defaults are not showing and is defaulting back to Select. New forms open correctly, is there anyway I can refresh the existing entries as you could with InfoPath?

control's default value setting only applies in NEW form/mode.
in VIEW or EDIT modes a value saved in SP list is always taken over.

I would run a workflow that goes through the whole list and updates the field to Yes. It wouldnt take long to create the workflow and it wouldnt take long to run. Much faster than manuually changing each item.
