Symptoms


I have a process whose destination users are a set of groups that come from an XML field. The initial email telling the users they have work goes out fine, but escalations fail saying "A recipient must be specified." This is when I use the smartobject to get emails of group users.

If I change it to just send the escalation to Destination Users, it says "The parameter 'addresses' cannot be an empty string. Parameter name: addresses"

All of the users in the groups have email addresses, I checked the result of the method in the smart object tester.

Any idea what might be going on?
 

Diagnoses


Setting email escalation at the Activity level versus setting it at the Client Event level.
 

Resolution

Try setting the email escalation at the Client Event level.
