Package and Deployment error - Error Message on creating a deployment package: Ensure that your workflow is deployed before packaging. The Workflow Setting could not be found.
 

Diagnoses

Note that there are no missing references on that form, and the SDLC checks in Smarforms 4.7 does not highlight anything either. We have 100% full functionality on the DEV platform, and can only not create a deployment package.

I have added new rules to the form today, that reference the process in question, and these also report the process as not having been published when attempting to create a deployment package.

A process must be published before it will be available to use in the K2 Designer, so process publishing or smartform trules cannot be the problem.
 

Resolution


The display name property of the workflow ended in a space character. Removing the space and re-deploying the workflow allowed the PandD tool to successfully create a deployment package.
