Symptoms
P&D - Service instance cannot resolve if you mapped Lookups/fields on previous panel (After creating the missing columns etc) and just refreshed to map them and them move to the additional References panel to resolve your Service instances

This is a product bug and can be worked around by closing P&D and trying to map again.
