New Install of K2 Blackpearl - K2 Service does not start after install
 

Diagnoses


When you have installed K2 Blackpearl on a new server. Version 4.6.8 to be the same as your live version of k2. However upon completing the install of K2 blackperal, smartforms and smartforms control when you open K2 Workspace you get the attached error :-
Unable to connect to K2Server on port 5252. No connection could be made because the target machine actively refused it.
 

Resolution

As this is the development environment you will need to run the service in console mode. This can be done by going to the following:

start menu >>>> All Programs >>> K2 Blackpearl >>> K2 Blackpearl Server.

This should help resolve the issue.
