I have following target -
there is an approval task in my workflow and for this it should be possible to have a "deputy". We have a little application storing the deputy to a manager - this deputy can be active or inactive. I can get this information over a web service - so via K2 I have a SmartObjectService. Give the destination as input - get the same destination as output (if no active deputy) or get a new destination (if an active deputy available).
Creating an event client activity I can do a SmartObjectEvent before and if a deputy is active I can set the right destination.
But what can I do, if the approval activity and the task is started and after a while the deputy become active.
I thought about an escalation rule - but I need following actions
a) Lookup for a deputy
b) redirect if deputy available
c) stay in client event if no deputy available (do nothing^^)
Someone any idea to solve this.
