Symptoms

When clicking on the 'Application' button on the ribbon for a list that has previously been Appified, SharePoint incorrectly navigates to the page with the "Create New Application" and "Deploy Application" buttons, instead of navigating to the artifacts page for the SharePoint list.
 

Diagnoses

This disassociation of the list to its SmartObjects can sometimes happen after deploying a solution to a new site, or if the Appit app was removed and re-added to the site contents of the site collection in question.
 

Resolution

To reassociate the artifacts to the list, click the "Application" button in the ribbon, then click "Create New," leaving just the Data option selected and hitting 'okay.' This will remap the associated artifacts, and will navigate to the artifact page with a full list of the objects. It is important to also test any workflows to ensure they are initiating in whatever context they are set up. If they do not, it may be required to open the workflow(s) and deploy once to fully reassociate their rules.
