K2 Workspace - the webpage cannot be found
 

Diagnoses


We are having issue with our UAT server where, whenever a user tries to access any worklist item (from workspace) which is a smartform task, it gives HTTP 400 error "The webpage cannot be found".

Anything on Runtime site gives this error and breaks and redirects you to "http://k2tst.zespri.zil/Runtime/", after that user can't access workspace as well.
It requires to delete all you cookies to make the Workspace work, but again if we try to access a smartform, it breaks again.

if you go back in browser, it goes to this link and shows "Bad Request - URL too long"

It seems like there is an issue with Windows STS. On some blog posts, it says if some users are part of many AD groups then their URL length and token size becomes bigger so I've increased the URL length of IIS by increasing MaxFieldLength and MaxRequestBytes.
Also tried to increase Token size in Regedit but no luck.

It works some of the time, and also works for some user but not for other at the same time.
Sometimes IISReset makes it work for some users.


 

Resolution

Known issue . Contact Support/Labs for coldfix regarding bloated headers .
