Symptoms

Issue:

Receiving warning when doing the following:
1. The user is able to open the InfoPath form and complete all details.
2. When the form is submitted an error occurs.
3. However this only occurs once, when the user clicks the Submit again, it says the data is saved successfully.


Warning:
An error occurred querying a data source.

An entry has been added to the Windows event log of the server.
Log ID : XXXX

Diagnosis:

This is found to be a known issue with Data connection timeout within SharePoint and InfoPath

 

Resolution



Resolution:

Increasing the Data connection Timeouts in Configure InfoPath Services

Go to Central Admin >> General Application Settings >> InfoPath Forms Services >> Configure InfoPath Forms Services. Now increase data connection timeout.
