I am facing performance issue for my intranet site.I am using Nintex workflows sharepoint 2013 sites.Can somebody share me the correct configuration for the Nintex workflow so that i can improve my site performance.

how many workflows do you have running?

Do you have Safe Looping enabled?  If not, you should enable it, IISRESET and then republish your workflows.

Also make sure you have minimum requirement specs for SharePoint Hardware and software requirements for SharePoint 2013 

As Nintexworkflows run in SharePoint's Windows Workflow Foundation Services, it can only use the resource allotted to it through SharePoint. This would be through the Web Applications App Pool, and through the timer service.
