Remember your smartobjects are stored in your k2 database and when you upgrade your new environment still uses the k2 database meaning that everything on the database will still exsist and you will be able to use it in your new environment.

It sounds like you are looking to downgrade from K2 BlackPearl 4.8.2.10.350 to K2 BlackPearl 4.8210.3.0. If this is the case please note that this is not advisable if you want to keep using your current SmartObjects,Views,Forms,Processes, etc. the reason for me saying this is when you downgrade that means that you have to completely remove K2 from your system and then install the version that you want.

When K2 is removed all related references for example Guids of smartobject get removed with the K2 Database/Software Product, meaning that when you install the version that want (downgraded version) that your current solutions will firstly not be present anymore and even if you packaged the solutions it will still not work as the solution will be looking for the data and refrences stored on the removed K2 Db, but cannot find them as there is a different K2 Db present (downgraded version's Db).

Note: When upgrading you version of K2 BlackPearl the above is not the case.
