+1There are many posts about setting lookup values, but I feel the SQL Request control is slightly different. And, I couldn't get any of them to work!
Example:
I want the Org Division from the HiringMgr_OrgDiv control to be the default value of the Org_Div control.
Note: The Value and Display fields are different here.

Does the run now return any values?
The thing that caught me after upgrading to 2016 was that I had to change all my SQL queries to Windows authentication (under authentication type) and the SQL one didn't work for me. I think this is to do with how the Secure store ID was created. Have you already tried this?
I also think it would help if you can send your SQL queries.
