How can I truncate the date?

When using a date in Nintex, it includes the time, which I don't want.

Example: 

End Date: 1/1/0001 12:00:00 AM

What I want is: 

End Date: 1/1/1001

I'm sure this question has been answered somewhere before, but I can't find it.

    You can use the formatting in forms and workflows, or change the SharePoint column to be a date only field. Did ‌, provide an answer to your question? Do you need any further details on how to use formatting?
