Symptoms


Having difficultly locating smartform install package for v4.6.10 and earlier
 

Diagnoses


Customer is on Blackpearl 4.6.10 but wants to add Smartforms. The person who did the 4.6.10 install is gone from the company and the ticket owner is new to K2. After looking in Programs and Features, we determined that there is an earlier version of Smartforms installed but that will need to be brought up to 4.6.10 in order to work properly.
 

Resolution

Navigated through the Portal Downloads page to find the installers for previous versions of K2 (https://portal.k2.com/downloads/k2smartforms/updates/10/Default.aspx). Advised customer he will need to use the 4.6.10 Smartforms Installer and the 4.6.10 Control pack installers in that order. Use the Setup.exe link in the installation folder in each.

Conducted a license search - customer only shows evaluation licenses for Smartforms. He thinks his boss might have the new one - he will check with him and/or also request a license key from the Portal. We walked through to that request form.
