I have SP2010 and created a infoPath form, then created a nintex workflow. The stakeholder would like like the approvals within the infopath form instead of viewing the form and then approving. I was looking at flexi task edit task form but that just opens a blank form. Is there a way to link the edit task form so that I can insert the approves within my current form?

no, they are two different form on two different lists.
what you can do is export your new/edit form from list and import it into task form.
do not forget to add 'Decision' fields to the task form after that, so that user can respond to the task.
