Event Viewer Error 8050 "BAD Header"
 

Diagnoses


This issue is in reference to a "BAD Header Error" that persisted within the event viewer. It was pointed out about the use of a connection to the K2 server trying to connect to the wrong port either 5252 or 5555 or because an NLB is in place for escalation purposes. The problem is that the solution surface is very big and the knowledge of the solution is restricted because of outsourced development resources where used at the time.


 

Resolution

The K2 task list web part can cause the error 'BAD HEADER", as it was using the wrong port upon Sharepoint.
The Workflow server was using the port 5555 instead of 5252. It is essential if you are using default port settings to use port 5252 for the workflow server and 5555 for the workflow management server.
