Receiving access denied error when trying to run through the registration wizard
 

Diagnoses


The AAD user attempting to run through the registration wizard is not the tenant admin for Appit.
 

Resolution

Make sure that the tenant admin's AAD account is added as a site collection administrator for the site collection in question, and that the current user has administration right on the site as well.

Also, if there are any entries in the SmartBox Security and SmartObject Security lists (K2 Management > SmartObject Administration > SmartBox/SmartObject Security), then this list is explicitly defined to only give permission to all users on these lists. If the lists are empty, then all users will have permissions to create SmartObjects. These permissions are necessary to run through the registration wizard, as SmartObjects are being created using the permissions of the currently authenticated AAD user.
