Symptoms

Unable to launch K2 Studio. The following error is shown:

"K2 Studio has encountered an application failure and will now close.
Please review the exception details below for further information:

System.Xml.XmlException:Root element is missing"
 

Diagnoses

This error message is seen when K2StudioProfileConfiguration.config file has been corrupted or the settings are not in the correct format.
 

Resolution

Delete the K2StudioProfileConfiguration.config in this folder, and try to start K2 Studio again (replace cUserName] with the username you are currently using):
