Symptoms
While configuring an email activity the following error appears:
"Underlying design time value of the selected K2 field(s) are empty."
Diagnoses
Was attempting manual insertion of the Mail Server field in the setup wizard.
Resolution
The customer verified that the Mail Server field in the environment template was populated, and then deleted the Mail Server from the wizard field, and dragged the Mail Server environment variable into the field from the context browser. That resolved this error.
The customer then received the error "System.Xml.XmlException: Root element is missing" while trying to deploy the process. This was a result of MSDTC not being correctly configured on the SQL server. After configuring MSDTC, the customer was able to deploy the process without any other issues.
