Error deploying process from visual studio and running Package and Deployment Wizard
 

Diagnoses

When trying to create or deploy a package in the Package and Deployment Wizard or when trying to deploy a process I get the following error:

A network-related or instance-specific error occurred while establishing a connection to SQL server. The server was not found or was not accessible. Verify that the instance name is.
 

Resolution

The error was resolved while running the update for 4.6.9 and the setup manager picks up a small DTC configuration error. Underneath that error there are specific directions and guidelines that assist you on how to get around the issue.
