Symptoms


We are getting an error "Exception has been thrown by the target of an invocation." when trying to access the management console in K2 workspace after upgrade from 4.5 to 4.6.9. No errors during upgrade and the Analysis doesn't show any errors.

 

Diagnoses


The issue seems to be related to blocking on the default discovery port (49599).
 

Resolution

Switching off the K2 Server discovery feature per the following KB, http://help.k2.com/kb001221, resolved the issue.
