Symptoms


ISSUE:
Customer complained that emails are "slow". Though workflows are working, email events are not firing.
 

Diagnoses


DIAGNOSIS:
This behavior can be explained by events getting stuck in the MSMQ Queue. There were some errors in the EventLogs, but nothing to help pinpoint what was going wrong.


 

Resolution

RESOLUTION:
A restart of the K2 Service resolved the issue, and messages in the MSMQ queue processed successfully. A Debug assembly was put in place so that we could capture logs the next time the issue occurred, but the issue has not reoccurred since. The root cause, therefore, was never discovered.
