Hello All,

 

I am looking to make a form that enters a indivdual within our directory to be signed up for a newsletter that is sent out weekly. The owner of the SharePoint site creates the newsletter and wants to send it to whoever 'opts in' to receiving it. Basically what can I do to cleanly make a form that adds people into a group to be emailed? I also am looking for a way for people to unsubscribe as well.

    Hi,

    The easiest way would be to have a form that just adds the users name to a SharePoint list. The workflow that sends out the email would just query the list for the names and put that output in the To field of a send notification action.

    To undubscribe the users get redirected to a form to complete. The form updates a SharePoint column that triggers a conditional start workflow that removes the name from the list.
