Creating custom reports - take 2

Let's try this again...

1. Is there any documentation for FilterService other than KB000021?

2. Report web pages are passed in ReportID in the QueryString. Has anyone written a generic report that, based on that, will display a DataGrid for that report for the current user (that is, with no hardcoded strings in the web page)?
