changing the size of a control changes the order of appearance?

hi all,

 

I am building a form and none of my controls are overlapping (i have intentionally put space in between the controls) however when i change the size of some controls, the preview of the form shows the order of appearance has changed (Q11 was the 11th question down the page but after making small changes to the height of the box it jumps up to the top position (but not the top of the form), so I have no idea what prompts this. 

 

I also notice it overlaps or disappears but cannot see a pattern about the behaviour.

    @johnfriday13 This is hard to explain what may be happening without seeing the form.

     

    Also I would ask, do you have access to responsive forms. While you don't get a lot of the flexibility of CSS and Javascript, its a lot cleaner and easier to design a form with.
