Symptoms
I got an error “Object reference not set to an instance of an object” when trying to access Smartforms Workflow Designer.
** Please note that our environment use SQL as a User Manager
Diagnoses
This is a known issue when K2 is installed in non-AD environment.
Resolution
In web.config for the designer site, change the connections for the followings to be integrated as follows,
-The default location is iinstall dir]K2 blackpearlK2 smartforms DesignerWorkflow
HostServerConnectionString
ExportServer
RuntimeServer
SmartObjectServer
Please perform iisreset and clear the browser cache after making these changes.
