Symptoms

When I create a new sodx file in a Visual Studio SmartObject project, I get the message Cannot connect to the Host Server. Please make sure the hostserver is running and that you can connect to it. I'm not sure of the next steps. Can someone call me and talk me through this?

 

Diagnoses

The issue was caused by missing SmartObject Server in the Environment Library.
 

Resolution

After we added the SmartObject Server environment field, and restarted the client, the issue was resolved.
