I'm using 2 server (k2 app and k2 db).
It would be better than running both in the same server.

Don't ask me how to config because I'm not the one that config this

But in my opinion
It just config when you install K2 -> choose db of k2 and k2log
that's all 😮
Hi,
I'm a newbie in k2.
I'm trying to decide which server to install k2.net server.
Can anyone tell me if I should install K2.NET server on the same box which SQL Server and IIS is on?
Ideally, I want to put K2 Server, IIS and SQL Server 2005 on three different servers.

Thank you very much.
Hi,

It is the easiest configuration to install all of the components you listed on the same server.

Splitting it over 3 servers would require you to configure Kerberos, which could be difficult to get right.

Kerberos aside, your main factor for determining this should be load.
If you will have a lot of users that will use K2.net 2003 Server then it will be best to dedicate a server to K2.net 2003.
However, you can handle a lot of users even if SQL, IIS and K2.net 2003 is running on the same server.

For more information download the K2.net 2003 Installation documentation (http://portal.k2workflow.com/downloads/product.aspx) and for more information on Kerberos look at KB article 123 (http://kb.k2workflow.com/Articles/KB000123.aspx).

Hope this helps.

JohanL
Thank you JohanL, I will try to use three servers first. 🙂
