Can i use SmartObject with exist Database?

As subject, can i use it?


if can, i must to create my database in SmartBox, right?


 


Could you please to explain me how to do?

You can use the SQL Server Service to create SmartObjects from existing databases. Have a look at the following location in the Help File:


K2 Workspace > K2 Management Console > SmartObject Services > SmartObject Services > The SQL Server Service

Thanks! but i have tried many times with many ways but i found error as below.


"A connection was successfully established with the server, but could not connect to the database supplied or database could not be found. "


i don't know why it couldn't connect DB, pls kindly advise and show me the sample.

Hi,


Create the service Instance for that datbase and provide the connection string correctly with database name.


It will Work......:)

Thank you everyone, now i can add this service... but i cannot find it when i browse at workflow (found only old smartobject)

Goto SQL -> Security - >> Login >> ( choose your User ) >> Right Click >> Propperetis >> User Mapping >> choose your Database And make it  Db owner
 Db reader, writer, admin
